ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I am intrigued by the delicate
and mysterious nuances
of natural light and shadows.
Outdoor inspirations are endless . . .
prismatic light dappling through the trees,
a blossom turning its face towards the
radiance of the sun, the sparkle of dew
on a new blade of grass . . .
In the studio I take pleasure in
gathering objects for a still life, arranging,
rearranging and editing until there is a
naturally beautiful feeling of harmony.
Color, warmth, coolness,
illumination and shadows are all
thoughtfully considered
and carefully executed.
When I paint, my heart is
swept away in the moment
and that is when
I feel very close to God.
